Why BuzzChat feels different
Most random chat is disposable. This one is built to last.
Typical stranger chat is a queue, a short exchange, and a closed tab. BuzzChat keeps the easy start, then adds the things that make a conversation worth returning to.
-
No video calls
BuzzChat starts with conversation, not cameras. You meet in text and build from there, so the first impression is what you say, not how you look on a feed.

Both people choose the conversation
Skip or rematch when it is not clicking. In World Mode, a private chat opens only if they say hi back. You stay in chats that feel mutual.

Your reputation goes with you
Change your nickname whenever you like. Your vibe, progress, and reputation stay connected to your account, so how you treat people still matters.

Safety tools that put you in control
Block or report anyone, limit private messages to mutual connections, and join Hives with clear rules and moderation. Automated moderation adds another layer, while account-level reputation means harmful behavior is not erased just by changing a nickname.

Questions people actually ask
Do I need an account to start?
No. You can begin with an anonymous session and a nickname. Claiming an account later is what lets you keep friends, posts, points and progress across devices.
Is BuzzChat video chat?
No. BuzzChat is text-first by design. You can share images where supported, but a camera is never the way you meet someone here.
What is World Mode?
A live pixel map you can walk around as your own character. You see who else is online, can put a short thought above your head so people know what you are up for, visit places on the map, and say hi to anyone, and a private chat opens if they say hi back.
What are Hives?
Interest-based communities with their own posts, live chat, members, roles, rules and moderation tools. They are where a passing conversation turns into somewhere you actually return to.
Is it free?
Yes. Chatting, World Mode, Hives and posts are free to use.
Is there a BuzzChat app to download?
Yes. BuzzChat is on Google Play for Android, and it still runs in the browser as a web app. On Android, tap Go get it on this site or open the Play listing. On any device, open play.buzzchat.app and, if your browser offers it, add BuzzChat to your home screen.
